CallUp´s MDM is the foundation for advanced subscription based services:
- Backup and restore of subscriber’s contact lists, calendar, notes – useful if a device is lost, stolen or broken
- Firmware updates over the air (once released by the device manufacturer)
- Application installation over the air
- Managing the permissions and content of groups of phones – useful for enterprises

CallUp MDM service uses 5 main repositories:
- TAC DB: resolves the manufacturer and model of the handset from the IMEI number
- Terminals Repository: tracks the combinations of IMEI, IMSI, and MSISDN numbers. Each such combination uniquely identifies a device in the network. For each such combination, the history of configuration and maintenance transactions is maintained.
- Terminal Capabilities Table: Stores a detailed description of every device model. This database is initially built from the CC/PP (UAProf) information published by the device manufacturer. The data is refined by CallUp engineers based on field tests. The DCT provides information about the services that are supported by the device, the configuration protocols that they support, whether it is possible to configure the devices over the air or not and special identifiers of non compliant devices.
- Subscribers Profiles: A subset of the network’s provisioning database that stores OTA provisioning preferences of subscribers, their grouping relationship and history of OTA settings per subscriber.
- Firmware Repository: Holds master and variants of device firmware.
- OMA DM versions 1.1.2 and 1.2
- OMA CP 1.1
- WAP 2.0 Client Provisioning
- Nokia and Ericsson OTA Settings versions 6.0, 6.5, 7.0 and 7.1
- OpenWave primary Provisioning Browser version 4.1
- Smart Messaging Specification version 3.
