An Exciting New Solution for Integrated 3G Call Completion
The CallUp 3G Mailbox systems provides a comprehensive messaging solution for all kinds of mobile devices ─ from simple 1G to advanced 3G devices and beyond. The CallUp 3G Mailbox lets subscribers deposit voice, video, and fax messages in the same unified message box and access messages from many sources including mobile phones, fixed line phones, PCs and E-mail.
Web-based administration allows the system administrator to easily define multiple Classes of Service (COS), create usage reports and monitor subscribers’ messages. Multiple COS can be defined where each COS has a dedicated voice and/or video call flow. Each COS typically has multilingual voice menus.
The CallUp 3G Mailbox ensures that all calls ─ whether voice, fax, or video ─ are always completed, even when the called party is busy, out of range, or simply not available. A caller views the subscriber’s personalized video greeting, or listens to a voice greeting, and can then record and deposit a video or voice message. All messages are stored on the system´s central database and notification messages are sent to a subscriber’s handset notifying them about new messages. The subscriber can retrieve messages by calling the system.
In addition to standard voice mail options, special features are available, such as:
• Empty call capture
• Outgoing call
• Multiple access points for multiple call flows
• Call forward
Technical Features
Provisioning
The CallUp 3G Mailbox provides the following provisioning tools for creating, modifying and deleting voice mailboxes:
• Voice Mail box "on-the-fly"
• Class of Service ("COS")
• Provisioning Windows Module
• WEB provisioning
Message Notification
The 3G Mailbox offers a variety of methods to send message notifications to the subscriber:
• Message Waiting Indicator (MWI)
• Email notification
• SMS
• Message Waiting Tone
• Call Back
• SMPP
Billing
CDR records are created for postpaid billing. Interfaces to prepaid billing systems are via standard protocols such as HTTP or Diameter.
Reports
The 3G Mailbox system prepares daily traffic reports in HTML format. These reports can be sent automatically to the Administrator´s E-mail account and be viewed using any standard WEB browser.
Fax Services
Fax messages can be sent to a subscriber´s mobile number. The fax message is automatically stored in the subscriber´s message box and a new message notification is sent. Fax messages can be printed on any fax machine, be viewed via the Web interface or can be automatically forwarded to a fax machine at a pre-defined time.
Video Mail for 3G Subscribers
A 3G subscriber, making a video call to another 3G subscriber, is directed to the 3G Mailbox system when the called party does not answer. The caller can then deposit a video message.
Video Mail for 2G Subscribers
A 3G subscriber, making a video call to a 2G subscriber, is faced with the problem of 2G handset limitations. Since the called party does not have video call capabilities, the call is directed to the 3G Mailbox system which offers the caller the option of depositing a short video message. This message is then sent to the called party either via E-mail or MMS.
