OTA/CDMA project in India

CallUp Net,
the One1 Group cellular division, won a project to supply an OTA/CDMA system for a large Indian cellular network supplier with approx. 10 million subscribers. The project is estimated at approx. 2M US dollars and will be launched in the last quarter of 2009.

The CallUp Net OTA/CDMA system enables the provider to update versions and install software components in its customers’ phones without them coming to a service center. This will enable the provider to automatically handle phone failures, change user settings and even know what phone is in use even when the customer transferred the SIM card to a different phone he owns, and thus assisting in operating the phone. In India, where the majority of phones are purchased in electronics shops and kiosks, it is very important to control and manage the configuration of the various phones.

Winning the tender, established CallUp Net as a legitimate OTA supplier and that of other added-value services for large telecom companies.

According to David Eshet, CallUp Net CEO: “Entering such projects in India followed an intensive 4-year marketing campaign in the Indian market, of which we hope to enjoy its fruits during 2009 and 2010.”
