CallUp Multimedia Transcoding Gateway (MTG™) is a software-based multimedia transcoder for mobile networks and content aggregators serving Person-to-Person and Application-to-Person applications. MTG adapts video, audio, image, text and page layout content to the capabilities of the recipients terminals.
Much more than just a media transcoder, MTG integrates all the functionality necessary to provide content adaptation for entire messages and premium multimedia content to match the capabilities of the recipient device while adhering to the preferences of the mobile operator, the content provider and the end user.
Architecture
MTG is a Telco-grade solution offering scalability and robustness while keeping its flexible and modular architecture.It can be deployed on Sun Solaris™ or Microsoft Windows Server™ operating environments.
All multimedia adaptation modules (CoDecs) are collected in Multimedia Dynamic Transcoders (MDTs). MTG load balances the cluster of MDTs. .
