Tel Aviv, Israel — August 1, 2011 — CALLUP Net a company that specializes in the development of software solutions for Mobile Device Management over-the-air(OTA) and over IP networks, and Red Bend Software, the market leader in Mobile Software Management with more than 1 billion Red Bend-Enabled™ devices, today announced they have successfully completed interoperability testing between CALLUP’s DMC server platform and Red Bend’s firmware over-the-air (FOTA) client software. With its DMC platform now Red Bend Certified™, CALLUP can ensure compatibility with the industry’s most deployed FOTA software.
CALLUP’s DMC platform delivers end-to-end product interoperability and compliance with the Open Mobile Alliance Device Management (OMA DM) standards, enabling mobile network operators that use the platform to take advantage of Red Bend’s MSM solutions to manage devices remotely and deliver firmware and software updates over the air to handsets and other types of connected mobile devices.
DMC is a device management system that provides FOTA functionality according to the Open Mobile Alliance FUMO 1.0 standard, and supports the latest standard for the lifecycle management of remote software components, the OMA DM Software Components Management Object (SCOMO).
“Having our DMC platform become Red Bend Certified is a great benefit to CALLUP and our customers,” said Amit Zamirly, CALLUP’s CEO. “Our DMC server is now serving more than 20 million subscribers and supporting more than 2,500 devices.
