Israel’s YouPhone Selects CALLUP's System, Enabling Remote Files and Applet Management
Rosh Haayin, Israel, November 17, 2014. CALLUP, a provider of Value Added Services (VAS) and Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions for the telecom industry, today announced that YouPhone, the largest MVNO (mobile virtual network operator) in Israel, has selected CALLUP SIM OTA, a service that enables the operator to manage remotely the files and applets on SIM cards, over the air.
The SIM OTA module can update any file on the SIM’s file system, provided it is allowed to be modified over the air. Examples of such files include the number used to identify the mobile phone number (MSISDN), the service provider name (SPN), SMS parameters, network selection etc.
"The implementation of CALLUP SIM OTA enables YouPhone to easily manage the life cycle of SIM cards installed at our subscribers handsets, serving our clients in a more consumer-friendly manner," said Ariel Schreiber, YouPhone's CEO. “SIM OTA helps YouPhone save costs, and enhance its customer service and satisfaction."
"YouPhone's decision to choose CALLUP SIM OTA is testament to the high reliability and quality of our system, which meets the most stringent international standards," said Alon Roth, CALLUP's CEO. "The short implementation time, and YouPhone's ability to use CALLUP SIM OTA immediately, reflect its ease of installation and user-friendly benefits.”
